We would like to know more about the history of our Abbey, which is over one thousand years old. Unfortunately, just like the Auvezere river which borders it and sometimes floods Tourtoirac, years did not always pass by peacefully. Over time, many chapters in the Abbey’s history were lost, however there remain religious and civil archives that reveal some notable events.
